Founded in 1950 as Community Assembly of God, CFWC has been an active part of the Modesto area for over 50 years.

We are affiliated with the Assemblies of God, USA.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, that Jesus was born of a virgin, was crucified and died for our sins, rose from the grave on the 3rd day and went back to heaven to prepare a place for His children.

We believe that fogiveness of sins is a matter of the grace of God coupled with faith, and that faith is also expressed in the everyday lifestyle of the believer.

We know that God is alive and well, that He expresses His love to His children in many ways, including miraculous healings and other answers to prayer.

We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are available today, including the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues.
